Circus

A Circus duo to delight audiences of all ages with acts of daring and tremendous skill. Matica weaves joy, rowdiness and athleticism throughout this 40min interactive show featuring all sorts of juggling, many hula hoops, a really tall unicycle, sky-high tosses with a Chinese yo-yo and some beautiful acro-dance with a devil stick! It is a great fit for festivals, schools, libraries and parties. Acts can also be performed individually with sophisticated costuming to please corporate settings

We can also follow up the show with CIRCUS WORKSHOPS In groups of 20-30, we introduce a myriad of circus skills! We start with a demonstration and have kids rotate through stations learning juggling, plate spinning, flower sticks, Chinese-yoyo, hula hooping. In a 1 day workshop we'll generally see groups for an hour and can have multiple groups in a day- different structures can be accommodated. We can also do workshops including stilt walking and tumbling. Smaller groups and two coaches are needed for stilt walking. These can also be stand alone workshops without the show

In this family-friendly, acro-comedic act, Heidi Kirchofer and Joel Melendez delight audiences of all ages with acts of daring and tremendous skill. Witness with awe extreme unicycling, club juggling, Chinese yo-yo, devil stick, and some awesome balance on a really big rolling globe. Audience participation is a must! Matica provides all around merriment and good times. Have Matica stay after the show, open their circus suitcase and play with Matica's circus equipment!

I call on Heidi and Joel to accomplish a tremendous task: to dissolve the barriers that exist between teens from Hartford and and teens from rural Connecticut...it's magical to see these teens that arrived on two separate buses from entirely different environments come together over a drumming session or to practice juggling...Heidi and Joel are amazing people and excellent role models for teens to look up to.
