Heidi Kirchofer

Heidi Kirchofer
Heidi Kirchofer, veteran performing and teaching artist, has traveled Internationally training, collaborating and performing. She is co-founder and managing director of Matica Arts and Thrive Movement Studio. Matica can be found performing at many festivals, events, and schools throughout the Northeast. Heidi is also the creator of an innovative, curriculum-infused, kinesthetic program, Whole Body Math. She is on the Harford Performs and Arts for Learning CT teaching artist rosters. Heidi is inspired by the body's infinite movement possibilities and fascinated by both the body's complexity, simplicity and ability to inspire, work and heal. She is a mover, yogini, percussionist, fire artist, gardener, costume builder, momma and all around creative individual.

Matica arts presented an entertaining/instructional program, at the Hartford Public Library this fall. We look forward to a total of four interactive, muti-media presentations of Matica's Instruments of the World at at least two library sites this coming July. They will take audiences on a musical journey around the globe and through time, using instruments and visual arts from Tibet, China, Brazil, Europe, Mexico, Australia and Africa.
We are very pleased with the quality and thoughtfulness of their work.
