| | 11/24 | | 2007 Collinsville Jazz Festival | music and arts | The 2007 Collinsville Jazz Festival sponsored by Downright Music & Art on Saturday, November 24th will consist of local jazz artists from the Farmington Valley area and Connecticut. This is the second annual jazz fest in Collinsville with the main event taking place in the stimulating atmosphere of the Town Hall. DM&A has reserved the hall that evening from 7:00 to 10:30 PM. The opening performance begins at 7PM with JU JU, a well known Hartford based jazz fusion group, following with headliner The Doug Maher Quartet, local jazz guitar phenomenon. These are some of the most accomplished jazz musicians in New England and are guaranteed to mesmerize the crowd with melodic runs and modal jams flashing their much honed skills over years of dedication and practice in the fine art of jazz.
