Connecticut school of Circus Arts at Oddfellows PlayhouseLed by the creative circus artists of ArtFarm and Matica Arts, the CT School of Circus Arts is the premiere youth circus program in the area. Build your skills as a juggler, unicyclist, acrobat, clown, stilter and performer. Members of the program will have the opportunity to join the Traveling Circus Company. This is the only place train your Circus skills in Connecticut! Come and work with professional artists from ARTFARM and Matica Arts to learn and develop your skills as a juggler, stiltler, acrobat, unicyclist and clown. The fall session concludes with a Circus performance on FALL DATE. The spring session will create a main stage show at Oddfellows.

Oddfellows Playhouse Founded in 1975 by a small group of Wesleyan University students as a theater arts organization designed to include children from all backgrounds, Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater now annually serves approximately 2,000 young people, ages 2-20, in a broad spectrum of theater arts activities. The largest and most active year-round youth theater in Connecticut, the Playhouse is an independent, not-for-profit organization with an arts/social service mission. Oddfellows received an Award of Excellence in 1998 from the New England Theater Conference in recognition of its outstanding contributions to youth theater and education.

Playtivity offers musical merriment, story-telling and musical theater, dance and movement, creative arts and a variety of empowerment playshops. Oil Drum Art New Haven has been selected as the launch site for the Oil Drum Art concept. The objective is to create a grass roots art movement culminating in a major international exhibition made up of winners from juried shows in this country and abroad.
This new and bold art movement is picking up momentum since the 2003 New Haven City-Wide Open Studios Exhibit where over 70 artists applied for free drums. Several hundred artists now have drums and are working on their artworks for future exhibitions. Tony OlivaresI was born in Managua, Nicaragua. My first experience as an Independent Improvisational Choreographer and Performer occurred at the age of seven at a National Dance Youth competition. I won first place, and was later hired to dance weekly in a youth TV show (Luis Mendez) host. I studied folk dance with Irene Lopez and contemporary dance with Heriberto Mercado.
